Lewis University seeks nominations and applications for an experienced, innovative and collaborative academic leader for the position of Dean, College of Nursing and Health Sciences.

Lewis University’s College of Nursing and Health Sciences develops and supports compassionate holistic approaches to healthcare. With state-of-the-art laboratories, faculty acclaimed for teaching and research, and strong connections to community, the College prepares expert practitioners and innovative leaders who transform practice in an increasingly complex healthcare system.
The College of Nursing and Health Sciences is comprised of departments and programs in Athletic Training, Exercise and Movement Science, Healthcare Leadership, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, and a broad range of nursing programs and specialties, including the Doctorate of Nursing Practice. The college includes approximately 707 undergraduate students, 530 graduate students, and a faculty FTE of 53.
The Dean is the chief academic officer of the College. The Dean reports to the Provost and is a member of several university-wide committees. The Dean supervises all faculty in the College as well as chairs and program directors, assistant and associate deans, and administrative assistants.
Qualifications include: an earned terminal degree; a record of clinical practice, scholarship, service and teaching in alignment with the qualifications for the title of Professor at Lewis University; at least five years of demonstrated administrative competence in an academic setting, ideally as a chair and/or assistant or associate dean; an understanding of, and experience with, institutional and program-specific accreditation processes; and experience with on-line and adult learning programs.
