The Georgian Court University community seeks a Dean of the School of Business & Digital Media to provide innovative programmatic development, student-centered, collaborative and interdisciplinary leadership, and external relationship-building.
Founded in 1908 and sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy, Georgian Court University is a leading regional university that provides a transformative education, preparing students for ethical leadership and service in the Catholic Mercy tradition. Georgian Court’s 156-acre campus is located in Lakewood, New Jersey, along the shore of scenic Lake Carasaljo at the northern edge of the Pine Barrens with the Jersey Shore only ten miles east. Philadelphia and New York City are approximately 60 miles from campus.

The School of Business and Digital Media is one of three Schools at Georgian Court University, with 11 full-time faculty members, over 255 undergraduate students majoring in Accounting, Business Administration, Digital Communication, Digital Design, Finance, Graphic Design & Multimedia, Health Information Management, Latino Business Studies, Management and Marketing and approximately 70 graduate students enrolled in the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program.The School is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) for the B.S. in Accounting, B.S. in Business Administration, B.S. in Finance, B.S. in Management, B.S. in Marketing, and M.B.A. programs.
An earned terminal degree in a discipline represented in the School is preferred, other related terminal degrees may be considered. In addition, ten years of faculty experience in higher education is highly preferred, but less than ten years with substantial experience will be considered. Other qualifications include: at least three years of administrative experience at the chair’s level or above in a unit that includes at least one of the disciplines represented in the School; a distinguished record of excellence in teaching, scholarly research, and service to be eligible for appointment at the rank of Professor; a track record of success with ACBSP, AACSB or IACBE accreditation; and instituting a quality-oriented improvement cycle based on assessment and data analysis.
