    Frederick Community College (FCC) invites confidential applications and nominations for the Vice President for Human Resources (HR), a new position at the College. This senior leader will provide vision and leadership for the HR team in support of the recruitment, retention, engagement, and development of all College Employees. The Vice President serves as a member of the President’s Senior Leadership Team and reports on HR matters at Board of Trustees meetings, as requested by the President, and presents HR requests that require Board approval and review.


    FCC is a public college accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). FCC is distinguished by its quality and affordability, making it attainable and valuable for local students. Accredited programs, comprehensive instruction, and affordable costs of attendance have made FCC the learning destination for more than 200,000 students since 1957. Today, approximately 16,000 students of all ages, backgrounds, and aspirations take credit and Continuing Education and Workforce Development (CEWD) courses annually on the main campus, at off-site locations including the Monroe Center, or online. FCC strives to be an academic leader nationwide, while being a catalyst for economic growth.


    The Vice President will report directly to the President and serve as a member of her Senior Leadership Team.  He or she represents the College at the local, state, and federal level on issues related to HR and is responsible for HR compliance reporting. The highly experienced, visionary, and collaborative Vice President will lead the HR team in leveraging technology, and strengthening processes and procedures to continuously improve efficiency, communication, and employee development, awareness, and satisfaction. 


    The Vice President will provide leadership and oversight in recruiting, and retaining a diverse, dynamic community of highly qualified and motivated employees.  Required minimum qualifications include a Master’s Degree or higher and seven years of progressive management experience in HR.
